Nine companies in the ICT sector in Galicia receive the CMMI certification, which have only 2,500 companies around the world
2 Mares, Aldaba, Altia, Bahia Software, Igalia, Imaxin|Software, Lambda Stream, Satdata, Shylex and the institutions CESGA and the IIT (Instituto de Investigaciones Tecnológicas) of the University of Santiago.
Galicia appears as international reference in the quality of software with this project, co-financed by the spanish Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade, in collaboration with the Supercomputing Center of Galicia (CESGA) as coordinator, and created within the platform of Vindeira of the Ministry of Economy and Industry of Galicia.
The nine organizations received the diploma from the hands of D. Ricardo Capilla, Director General for Research, Development and Innovation of the Xunta of Galicia, in an act which took place the June 17 at the headquarters of the Caixa Galicia Foundation in Santiago.

Proyecto impulsado por el Grupo de Investigación en Gerontología de la UDC, perteneciente a Vindeira.
El Ayuntamiento de la Coruña puso en marcha, de manera experimental, un proyecto de atención domiciliaria a la personas mayores a través del televisor. El servicio, en funcionamiento en cinco centros cívicos y 20 domicilios de la ciudad, recibe en la pantalla la señal emitida desde lo centro de control, en la Milagrosa. Las personas usuarias pueden realizar consultas médicas mediante videoconferencia o asistir a clases de entrenamiento cognitivo.
El proyecto, impulsado por el Grupo de Investigación en Gerontología de la UDC, comenzó a probarse en el mes de enero y ya se aplica de manera experimental con la participación de 150 personas, en los centros cívicos de Castrillón, Labañou, Monelos, Rosales y San Diego, además de 20 hogares
