Creation of the community "ICT Labs" of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology |

The community "ICT Labs" will seek the radical transformation of Europe into a knowledge-based society through the proliferation of services based on the Internet.
At its birth, the community "ICT Labs" has five centers, in Berlin, Eindhoven, Helsinki, Paris and Stockholm, turning this five clusters and its associated centers into important points to consider in innovation processes.
On 16 December the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) announced the creation of the first three Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KCI), that bring together the excellence in higher education, research and business. Specifically, one of these KCI focuses on the future information society and communication, besides, KCI undertakes an open innovation model and efficient, generating a quick transformation of ideas and ICT technologies into real products, services and business, raising Europe's future competitiveness in all sectors of society.
With the creation of these communities, the EIT is approaching the goal of becoming a model to boost innovation in Europe and contribute to achieve the objectives of the future EU strategy in 2020.
