The Spanish expense in R&D reached 1.35% of the GDP in 2008 |

The Spanish expense in R&D grew in 2008, although fewer than in the previous year (10,2% of increase, compared with 12,9% in 2007 with respect to 2006) which consequently is situated in 1,35% of the Gross Domestic Product, still below the european average (1,85%), according to the Statistics on Activities in R&D that the Instituto Nacional de Estadística (INE) has presented.
