Vindeira participates in the NEM Summit 2009 |

The Technology Platform ICT in Galicia, Vindeira, travels in International Technological Cooperation Mission to the UK and participates in the NEM Summit 2009, Annual Meeting of the European Technology Platform for networked electronic media to be held in Saint-Malo, France, during the days 28 to 30 September of this year.
The NEM Summit, which this year is entitled "Towards Future Media Internet" brings together representatives from Europe and around the world, including large manufacturers and service providers, start-ups and SMEs, research centers and institutions as well as business associations and organisms for standardization and regulation.
Vindeira's delegation, which consists of representatives of R, Quobis Networks, Level Telecom, Arteixo Telecom, Wireless Galicia, Gradiant, the Institute for Technological Research of the USC, Research Groups Intelligent Systems and Computer Architecture at USC, sets as main objective of its participation to propose European programs and to look for new contacts to establish stable international cooperation.
Also, Vindeira is going to visit this week in Rennes the R & D centers of Thomson, Orange, INRIA, CRITT, Loustic and the ETI at Pôle Images et Réseaux, specialized in tematic areas of interest for the platform like services and applications of images, next generation networks, virtual and augmented reality, and applications for health, telemonitoring and telecare in particular, with the aim of meeting best practices.
During this International Mission for Technological Cooperation it will also be signed an agreement with the Pôle Images et Réseaux, networking and image cluster of the UK and very active in European projects, thereby formalizing the existing cooperation between both organizations.
