The Galician ICT Technology Platform, also known as Vindeira, is defined as a point of encounter and dialogue of all actors related to the ICT sector and its future depends on the ability to maintain and build competitive advantage through the development of research and innovation.

The probabilities of maintaining a prosperous and sustainable ICT industry in Galicia are almost non-existent without a successful innovation strategy in a particularly globalized ICT.

The platform was born with an open mind to the integration of all actors involved in technology development and exploitation of ICT in Galicia with a desire for future continuity. Every actor in the ICT sector can join the Platform, so we have members of very different backgrounds as:

• Institutes of Technology
• Public research organisations
• Agencies for innovation support
• Financial institutions

These agents come together with the aim of achieving a significant leap forward in a scientific-technological area of strategic importance to Galicia such as the Information and Communication Technologies.
